Dr. Leyva provides comprehensive psychoeducational evaluation services for children, adolescents and adults. Evaluation involves testing, interpretation, report writing, and a client feedback session.
Psychoeducational testing assesses cognitive functioning and academic achievement. Additional test materials are used to screen for developmental disorders, to assess neurological function, and to evaluate emotional intelligence, personality and temperament type.
Information about learning styles and abilities are given so that appropriate intervention and accommodations can be made with the goal of optimizing development. Each assessment report includes a plan for building on strengths and remediating weaknesses so that students can learn most effectively. Additional recommendations such as appropriate accommodations to meet students’ needs may also be warranted.
Admissions Testing is now available for children and adolescents who are required to complete an individually administered IQ and achievement test as part of the school admission application process. Dr. Leyva offers flexible testing times and an expedited report in order to meet deadlines that arise during the application process.
